Clark County Detention Center Inmate Search: Find Custody, Bail & Next Steps
Looking for someone arrested in Las Vegas? Start with the Clark County Detention Center inmate search, but do not assume every Las Vegas-area arrest goes to CCDC.
This guide shows how to find the correct inmate, read the custody record, check bail, locate the court case, arrange visits, send money, use phone services and track a release or transfer.

CCDC and the North Valley Complex are covered by the current LVMPD inmate handbook.
How to Search Clark County Detention Center Inmates
The official CCDC inmate search accepts a last name, inmate ID or Justice Court case number. A last-name search requires at least two letters.
Open the official CCDC inmate search
Use Clark County’s live Inmate Information Search rather than a copied inmate directory.
Choose the strongest identifier
An inmate ID or Justice Court case number is precise. If you only know the name, enter more than two letters of the surname to narrow the results.
Select the correct person
Compare the name, age, arrest date and other available identifiers before treating a record as a match.
Open the in-custody details
Use the inmate ID or case-number option to review current custody, charges, bail and available court scheduling information.
Save the inmate ID
You may need this number for deposits, mail, calls, visitation and questions to detention staff.
What the CCDC Inmate Record Can Tell You
The live record is more useful when you know what each field means. It is a custody record, not a final judgment of guilt.
| Field | What to check |
|---|---|
| Inmate ID | CCDC identifier useful for deposits, communication and staff inquiries. |
| Arrest date | Helps distinguish people with similar names and confirms when custody began. |
| Case number | Use it to move from the jail record to the related court matter. |
| Charge | The charge currently associated with the custody record; it may later change in court. |
| Status | Shows whether the listed matter remains active or has another recorded status. |
| Detainer | May indicate another hold that could affect release even when bail exists on a local case. |
| Cash bail | Review the amount, then verify the correct court/payment procedure before paying. |
| Housing | Current housing information may help explain facility placement or visitation availability. |
| Scheduled court data | Where shown, review the department, action, date and time for the next listed event. |
Clark County warns that charges can change through hearings, plea negotiations or trial. Release dates and custody information can also change.
No Clark County Detention Center Result?
A failed search does not always mean the person is free. Work through the jurisdiction and custody possibilities before assuming the arrest information was wrong.

North Las Vegas maintains its own offender-search resources.
Henderson also maintains a separate inmate-custody system.
For the most current information, call the CCDC information line at 702-671-3900. Inmate information is not provided by email.
What If the Person Is Booked as John Doe or Jane Doe?
A person booked without confirmed identity cannot post bail until properly identified through the Clark County Detention fingerprint-identification process.
Call 702-671-3900 and ask for instructions on helping CCDC identify the John or Jane Doe.
You Found the Inmate. Do These Things Next
Finding the name solves only the first part of the problem. Save the important identifiers and move through the tasks that affect release, court and communication.
Also save the arrest date and case number if shown.
A displayed bail amount does not always mean immediate release is possible.
Use the court system for hearings, filings and later case activity.
Social visits require visitor registration and advance scheduling.
Family and friends use the jail’s contracted communication system.
TouchPay deposits require CCDC’s facility number and inmate identifiers.
How CCDC Custody Works After Booking
Each person booked into CCDC or the North Valley Complex receives an Inmate ID. The current inmate handbook tells inmates to memorize it because it is used throughout detention services.
A person can remain in custody until bond is posted, release on recognizance is ordered, the case is resolved by a judge, or the sentence ends.
Clark County Detention Center Bail: How Payment Works
Start by checking the inmate record for bail and detainer information. Then identify whether the case belongs to Justice Court or District Court because the payment procedure differs.
The official Clark County instructions list the window as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for applicable bail and surety-bond transactions.
It is inside CCDC, to the right of the Visiting and Information Booth.
Las Vegas Justice Court bail
| Filing fee | $50 must accompany the bail payment. |
|---|---|
| Cash | Full and exact amount, up to $10,000. |
| Card | Visa or Mastercard up to $10,000. |
| Cashier’s check / money order | Payable to LAS VEGAS JUSTICE COURT and include the inmate’s name and ID number. |
| Personal checks | Not accepted. |
District Court bail
During normal business hours, Clark County directs District Court bail payments to the Regional Justice Center across Casino Center Boulevard from CCDC.
After hours, the official instructions direct cash payments to Pre-Trial Services inside the detention center.
Confirm the inmate, case number, bail amount and accepted payment route through CCDC or the responsible court before paying.

CCDC provides a Letter of Incarceration when documented proof of detention is needed for an employer, agency or another legitimate purpose.
Requests may be emailed to dsdrsuc@lvmpd.com. Include a valid email or mailing address for the response.
Safety or Sexual-Abuse Concern Involving an Inmate
CCDC’s inmate handbook provides several PREA reporting options for sexual abuse or sexual harassment, including reports made by family, friends or legal counsel.
